TLS TeroLab Surface Group

An innovative, fast-growing group of companies
On 27 April 1998, Christopher H. Wasserman founded the TLS TeroLab Surface Group. It was created by the takeover of the TeroLab area of activity in France and Switzerland from the Eutectic+Castolin Group. The TLS group of companies now has five sites. The holding company and the management company are based in Switzerland, whilst the production plants are in Germany, Austria and France.

Applications in different areas

The TLS Group has a total workforce of around 200 and is one of the leading European companies in the field of surface coating by thermal spraying. All TLS plants are certified in accordance with both DIN EN ISO 9001 and GTS. Every single location is able to look back on its own unique history. In France, the main focus is on the medical sector (medical implants). In Austria, the repairs business and on-site coatings are in the spotlight, whilst in Germany, there is a large degree of cooperation directly with the original manufacturers. In particular, new components are provided with special-function coatings. The printing industry accounts for about a third of turnover.

The guiding values of TLS

The top priority at TLS is customer satisfaction. TLS offers a tailor-made solution for every problem that arises in the coating of surfaces. Highly qualified experts in the industry are on hand to help and support the group of companies. One of these is Professor Erich Lugscheider, President of the TLS Supervisory Board, who has made it possible, with his wide-ranging expertise and valuable contacts, to take TLS into the future. Recent investments, such as the funds invested in the ultra-modern vacuum plasma spraying plant at TeroLab Surface Medical in France, are also helping the Group to achieve the desired market leadership in Europe.
The TLS business principles includes fundamental values such as a friendly attitude towards customers, rapid service, compliance with delivery dates, the professional layout and presentation of tenders, regular customer contact and the precise monitoring of order handling.
